Michael Pontacoloni’s poems appear in Southern Review, Cincinnati Review, Copper Nickel, Pleiades, New Ohio Review, and elsewhere.
He has received awards and scholarships from the Sewanee Writers Conference, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Southern Review, which awarded him the Oran Robert Perry Burke prize. He holds a MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a PhD from the University of Mississippi.
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he teaches at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
